The last time we heard small British automaker Noble was building a new car was all the way back in 2018. Now, it's actually here.

Remember Noble? It's a very small British automaker known for building extreme mid-engine supercars like the wild M12 and monstrously fast M600. Last we heard from the company was all the way back in 2018 when it announced a new car called the M500 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. There's been radio silence for nearly four years, but now it finally seems the car is ready for production.

Noble announced the news of its nearly production-ready M500 on its website Wednesday, calling it the "little brother" to the 650-hp twin-turbo V-8-powered M600. Behind the cabin sits the same 3.5-liter Ford EcoBoost twin-turbo V-6 from the concept, tuned to 506 hp and 594 lb-ft of torque. The dual-clutch automatic transmission promised back in 2018 has been dropped, thankfully, in favor of a gated six-speed manual sourced from Graziano.

Like all Nobles before it, the M500 remains distinctly old-school in that there are no airbags or anti-lock brakes. The double-wishbone suspension features coilovers with no active adjustment, while the steering is hydraulically assisted. The lack of driver aids and creature comforts, combined with a new glass-reinforced composite body and the steel tubular chassis, means less weight. Peter Boutwood, Noble's managing director, promised Autocar the production M500 will weigh around 2800 pounds.

Noble says it's aiming for a price around £150,000 (roughly $205,000) to undercut supercar rivals from mainstream manufacturers like Porsche, Ferrari, and Lamborghini. Though with only eight employees on staff, including five total technicians, it could be a while before we actually see them hit buyer's garages. Not like it matters for interested U.S. parties—like the M600, we don't expect the M500 to be sold Stateside.
